Mimorin Privacy Policy

SHUKANG HU (the "Operator") handles Users' personal information in the childcare-logging application "Mimorin" (the "App") appropriately in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (the "APPI") and other applicable laws, and pursuant to this Privacy Policy (this "Policy").
1. Operator Information and Contact

2. Information We Collect
The App collects the following information.
(1) Account information
With sign-in using Apple or Google, we collect your display name, email address (including the relay address from Apple's "Hide My Email"), and the identifier issued by the authentication provider. We also collect settings you configure, such as language and theme.
(2) Childcare records
We collect your Child's nickname, date of birth, sex, body measurements at birth (weight, height, head circumference), municipality of residence (optional), and records and notes relating to feeding, sleep, diapers, growth, body temperature, and bathing.
(3) Information about your Child's health
Temperature records may include information about your Child's state of health. The Operator handles such information with care and collects it after the User (guardian) has consented on the App's onboarding screen.
(4) Voice and speech-recognition information
When you use the voice input feature, audio captured by the microphone is converted to text. Speech recognition is performed on-device as far as possible, and the audio itself is not sent to or stored on the Operator's servers. Only where your device does not support on-device recognition may text conversion be performed via Apple's speech recognition service (Apple's privacy policy applies).
(5) Information collected automatically through use
The App collects information such as the creation and update timestamps of data, to the extent necessary for providing features and synchronization. The App does not currently use any analytics tools or advertising SDKs. If we introduce these in the future, we will revise this Policy in advance.
3. Purposes of Use
The Operator uses the collected information for the following purposes.
- To provide the Service, including saving, displaying, and editing childcare records and displaying growth curves
- To provide data synchronization across multiple devices and the family sharing feature
- To provide AI features (analyzing voice input to create draft records) where the User has consented
- For identity verification, prevention of misuse, and responding to inquiries
- For maintaining and improving the Service and for responses based on the Terms of Use and applicable laws
4. Provision to Third Parties (AI Features / Vertex AI)
- Except where the User consents, the Operator does not provide collected personal information to third parties.
- Only where the User consents to use cloud AI features does the Operator send the data to be analyzed by AI (such as text transcribed from voice) to Google Cloud's Vertex AI (Tokyo region) for processing. This constitutes a third-party transmission of personal information.
- This AI is used through Google Cloud's enterprise API, and the transmitted data is not used to train AI models.
- This consent is optional and can be withdrawn at any time from the App's settings screen. After withdrawal, no new transmission of such data takes place.
5. Outsourcing (Use of Cloud Infrastructure)
In providing the Service, the Operator entrusts operations such as data storage, authentication, and delivery to the following providers, or uses the following infrastructure. In such cases, the Operator exercises necessary and appropriate supervision over the entrusted parties.

6. Provision to Third Parties Located in Foreign Countries
Data in the App is stored and processed within Japan (Tokyo region). On the other hand, Google LLC and Apple Inc. referred to above are operators located in foreign countries. Where the entrustment or provision of data to these operators constitutes "provision to a third party in a foreign country" under the APPI, the Operator will provide the necessary information and obtain consent in accordance with that Act.
7. Storage Location and Retention Period
- After enrolling in a paid plan (one that provides synchronization), data is stored in the cloud within Japan (Tokyo region). Otherwise (including the free tier and when not signed in), data is stored only on the device.
- The Operator retains personal information for the period necessary to provide the Service. When a User withdraws, or when a User requests deletion, the Operator deletes the relevant personal data without delay. However, records still needed by other Users in family sharing may remain after the information identifying the recorder is anonymized.
8. Security Measures
To prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal information and for other security management, the Operator takes necessary and appropriate measures, including authentication-based access control, encryption of communications, and appropriate configuration of access permissions.
9. Your Rights
Users have the following rights regarding the personal data the Operator holds about themselves (and the Children in their care).
- Disclosure / data portability: You can export your retained data in JSON format from the App's settings screen.
- Correction / addition / deletion: You can edit and delete records at any time within the App.
- Suspension of use / erasure (withdrawal): You can request deletion of your retained personal data by withdrawing.
- Withdrawal of consent: You can withdraw your consent to the AI features (third-party transmission) at any time from the settings screen.
- Other requests under the APPI are accepted at the contact in Section 1. The Operator will verify your identity and respond appropriately in accordance with the law.
10. Information About Children
The App is premised on the guardian User entering and managing information about the Child (an infant or young child). The User, as guardian, holds the necessary authority and responsibility for entering the Child's personal information and for family sharing.
11. Revisions to This Policy
The Operator may revise this Policy in connection with changes in laws or in the contents of the Service. For material revisions, the Operator will give notice by in-app display or other appropriate means and obtain consent again where necessary.
